Open Cellars and Spring Market 2024

An unmissable weekend to discover the vineyard estate of Château de Valmer!

Explore the 16th-century troglodyte caves and the usually closed-to-the-public wine cellars, accompanied by Jean de Saint Venant, a passionate and engaging winemaker.

Lovers of the land and craftsmanship can enjoy the Spring Market, which brings together local producers and artisans eager to share their expertise.

Guided tours will be personally conducted by the owner, Jean de Saint Venant, who embodies the 5th generation of enthusiasts who have worked the Valmer vineyards since the 19th century to produce exceptional wines.

The program for this weekend includes:

• Guided tours of the wine cellars with Jean de Saint Venant at 11am, 2pm, and 4pm, on Saturday, May 25th, and Sunday, May 26th (approximately 1 hour duration).
• Wine tasting and sale of Château de Valmer wines, including AOC Vouvray and AOC Touraine Rosé.
• Free access to the gardens, the troglodyte chapel, and the historic 60-hectare park.
• Spring market featuring local producers and artisans.
• On-site dining.
• Garden Game - a family game to explore the gardens.
